Description

Dive into the Christ-centered theology of Hanserd Knollys, one of the most influential 17th-century Particular Baptists. Christ Exalted is a timeless exposition that magnifies the glory of Christ in His person, work, and offices as Prophet, Priest, and King.

"I do not know of any other book that exalts Christ Jesus more clearly in the salvation of sinners than this little book by Hanserd Knollys. The treasure of this book is Christ. Every page is dripping with sweet honey that warms the soul with love and appreciation for the altogether lovely One. If you love Christ, I believe you will love this book. I believe this book will be a devotional help to you, as it has been for me. It has been my joy to help bring it back to life in this new edition. May God use it to exalt His Son for His glory so that Christ may have the preeminence in all things."

—Jeffrey D. Johnson

Author Bio

Hanserd Knollys (1598-1691) was born at Chalkwell in Lincolnshire, England. At age 37, after being converted by Puritan preaching while studying at Cambridge and being ordained as a minister, he left the Church of England to join the Nonconformists. Because Knollys refused to stop preaching the gospel, he endured hardships, persecutions, continual imprisonments, poverty, and even once he was stoned out of the pulpit. Knollys, at various times, was forced to take refuge in America, Holland, and Germany. He is one of the few Particular Baptists to sign both the First (1644) and Second (1689) London Baptist Confessions of Faith.

I really enjoyed the book. It was a blessing to me and my wife. So much so that we bought a case to give to our friends and loved ones. Christ Exalted is just that. Exalting Christ to the place he deserves and has earned. It will be a book that I will read many times over again because it brought such great joy.. It's a small book with a powerful message. I encourage everyone that hasn't bought one to do so. i think every church ought to but the books and distribute to their membership.. It will be money well spent. Randy Rose

Christ Exalted is a wonderful book that diffuses the aroma of Christ on every page. I highly recommended for every believer who wants to saturate their minds with the truth of who Christ is and what He has accomplished.

Though modernized, the content of Christ Exalted remains rich and undiluted. Hanserd Knollys does the reader a great kindness by continually presenting Christ before their eyes. I am grateful that works such as these are being made more accessible to the church.
