This excellent book, Home Reformation, by Adam Burrell, has the marks of a good sermon. I began the book by wondering if I would agree with what was being said. I wondered if the teaching and application would be biblical or legalistic. But as with a good sermon, I soon forgot about the author and found myself contemplating the spiritual health of my own home. I felt conviction, but not the kind of conviction that leaves you feeling depressed and hopeless. It was the best type of conviction—a biblical conviction that gives you hope and provides direction for real-life improvement. This book sets forth a road map for something beautiful. And as with all good sermons, I left feeling grateful for it. I could simply say something positive about the book’s brevity and clarity, but the best commendation I can give is that I found this book very practical and beneficial.
